UPDATED: NWS Cancels Tornado Warning
National Weather Service cancels tornado warning in DuPage County.
The National Weather Service at 2:38 p.m. canceled a tornado warning in DuPage County, originally in effect until 3 p.m. Sunday.
The storm has "weakened below severe limits," according to the NWS. Heavy rain and winds of up to 50 mph are still expected.
Radar indicated a "severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado" about 2:18 p.m. near West Chicago, according to the NWS.
NWS advises affected residents to take cover immediately.
