Police Report 5 DUI Arrests

The following items were taken from the Wheaton Police Department.

The following DUI reports were taken from the Thursday:

Police arrested Nathan Brennan of New Lenox for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and an improper turn Sunday, Oct. 30. Brennan, 26, drove a 2000 Chevy Venture near the intersection of County Farm and Roosevelt roads around 2 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. Police also issued a local ordinance citation for illegal alcohol consumption to a 20-year-old Wheaton man in the car. He was released on the scene.

Police arrested Timothy Jones of Carol Stream for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding Saturday, Oct. 29. Jones, 33, drove a 2001 BMW near the intersection of Butterfield and Orchard roads around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested Shane Parr of Batavia for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage Saturday, Oct. 29. Parr, 33, drove a 2002 Honda Accord near the intersection of Adare Street and Roosevelt Road at 2:40 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested a Glen Ellyn man for driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying a traffic signal and improper lane usage Thursday, Oct. 27. Yonas Zego, 20, drove a Nissan Quest near the intersection of Carlton Street and Roosevelt Road around 10 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night. Police also issued a local ordinance citation to an 18-year-old Glen Ellyn man in the car for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on the scene, according to the police report.

Police arrested a Wheaton woman for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident near the intersection of Geneva and Main streets Thursday, Oct. 27. Colleen Buritz, 26, of the south 100 block of Nepil Avenue drove a black 2009 Toyota Corolla near the intersection of Geneva and Main streets around midnight when the accident occurred. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.
