Jury Selection Tuesday in Wheaton Murder Trial

Wheaton man stands trial for the murdering of a neighbor in 2009.

Michael Delaney of Wheaton plans to argue self-defense when he stands trial for murder this week, the Daily Herald reported.

Delaney is charged with the 2009 stabbing murder of Michael Scalzo outside an apartment in the 800 block of Crescent Street, according to the Chicago Tribune.

A DuPage County Judge in September allowed testimony that Delaney has post-traumatic stress disorder after a 1980s military accident, the Daily Herald reported.

Jury selection begins today. Opening statements could begin Wednesday, according to the Herald.
