Judge to Allow Stress Disorder Testimony in Wheaton Murder Trial
A judge will allow testimony a Wheaton man has post-traumatic stress disorder when he stands trial on first-degree murder charges Oct. 17.
A DuPage County Judge will allow testimony that a Wheaton man charged with first-degree murder has post-traumatic stress disorder after a 1980s military accident, the Daily Herald reported.
Defense attorneys say the condition may have caused Delaney to think he was defending himself when he stabbed neighbor Michael Scalzo in 2009, according to the Herald.
Delaney returns to court Oct. 17.
