An Evanston man who may be behind the armed robbery of a Glen Ellyn hair salon on January 3, is now in police custody, charged with robbing nearly a dozen salons in the northern suburbs.
Jason Logsdon, 41, of the 900 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was charged with 11 counts of armed robbery, all Class X felonies. Police believe Logsdon is responsible for a total of 15 robberies, but the remaining four occurred in DuPage County. That county is still continuing its investigation, according to a story in Skokie Patch.
He was arrested in the 200 block of Lake Street in Elmhurst Monday a few hours after a robbery took place on the North Side, according to Skokie Patch.
Police believe Logsdon may be responsible for other robberies, including the incident in Glen Ellyn and another nearby in Lombard.
On January 3, Glen Ellyn Police responded to a robbery call at 9:30 a.m. at the Great Clips, 692 Roosevelt Road, at 9:30 a.m. At the time of the incident, employees told police the man entered the Great Clips, displayed a gun and demanded money. He left the store with a small, undisclosed amount of money and was seen walking east.
On Monday, Logsdon was arrested after a Wicker Park Great Clips was robbed of about $250, the Tribune reported.
