WHEATON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCE PROMOTION

The Board of Directors at the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce has announced that Kerry O’Brien has been recognized for outstanding performance by her recent promotion.

Ms. O’Brien has been promoted to Executive Director of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce.  O’Brien joined the
organization in January 2010 as the Manager of Member Relations and has been instrumental in creating programs and using strategies to enhance the organization’s visibility and increase its membership.  “Kerry has been a dynamic leader in the Wheaton community.  She continues to
support our local businesses by providing marketing opportunities and business education, all while keeping a pulse on the issues within our city that have had
an impact on our local economy,” stated Jill Seijo, President of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce.

O’Brien has been active in the community and is currently serving on the Downtown Strategic Planning Task Force for the Wheaton Chamber.  She is a past Director of the St. James School Athletic Commission, and has devoted many years to teaching and coaching middle school students as well as assisting local schools and her church with their service projects and fundraisers.  A resident of Wheaton for most of her life, she pleased to have been able to raise her 3 children in her hometown.
