Schamberger, Gerhart H. "Gary", age 77, of Wheaton , IL went home to be with the Lord on Wed. , August 29 at Central Dupage Hospital.  He was born on Feb. 18, 1935 in Chicago, Il, son of Hermann  and Charlotte Schamberger.
 
Gary was a US Army Veteran and the retired President and Chairman of the Board of Schamberger Brothers, Inc. He also served on the board of the Associate Beer Distributors of America (ABDI).  He was a long-time member of the Glen Oak Country Club, serving for a time as the Chairman of the Membership Committee.   Gary was a member of the Circus Fans Association, Hanneford Tent , Elgin, Il and served on the board of the American Heart Association.
 
Gary is survived by his loving wife Nancy Kay Schamberger nee Harris; sons, Gary (Brenda) Schamberger, Ken (Hope) Schamberger, David (Faith) Jordan; grandchildren, Andrew and Rebecca Schamberger, Hope Rose Schamberger; brothers, Hermann (Arlene) Schamberger, Ronald (Eva) Schamberger; nephews, Hermann (Katherine) Schamberger III, Joseph (Amy) Schamberger, John (Karen) Schamberger, Paul Schamberger, Jon Meyer, Chris Meyer; nieces, Maryanne (Lawrence) Buettner, Kristine (Wayne) Fassett, Gretchen Diffendorfer, Lise Kobussen; great-nieces and nephews, Lauren, Charlotte, Ashley and August Buettner, Madeline, Isabelle, Ella and Hermann IV Schamberger, Christian and Jason Schamberger, Greta Schamberger.
 
The visitation will be on Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at the Williams- Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL. 60187. (1 block East of Naperville Rd. ) Interment will be private.

Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
